FAQ’s

If you have any additional questions not covered in this section, please click HERE or call us today. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff would be glad to answer any and all questions.

How long will I stay?
Most inpatient clients stay in our alcohol and drug treatment center an average of 45 days. However, it all depends upon the individual client’s needs. We recommend a minimum stay of 28 days.

What will I eat?
You will be provided meal vouchers each week and the opportunity to do your own grocery shopping and prepare your own meals while in our alcohol and drug treatment center. Our nutrition education classes will help you in the decision-making process of purchasing the best foods for your overall health during your stay with us.

May I have visitors?
Yes; visits from family and friends are encouraged. We schedule free time for visiting with loved ones every Sunday. You may receive an offsite local visitation pass, if approved by your therapist. We also host a Family Program one weekend a month.

May I bring footballs, Frisbees®, etc.?
No, Unity provides recreational equipment for your use during your stay.

How much money should I bring?
If you smoke, please bring money for cigarettes. If you plan to make long distance telephone calls, you’ll need a calling card. You may dine out with your Unity recovery community on occasion or attend other social activities. If you believe you’ll need groceries beyond what is provided for in your meal voucher, you should budget for those expenses. You may also need to bring funds for prescription medications.

May I bring my medication?
All medications must be checked in upon arrival. If approved by the Unity Clinical Director, our staff will store and dispense medications according to the prescription instructions/label directions.
